Cases To Watch In 2007

Law360 (December 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court once again appears set to take on several sticky intellectual property disputes in 2007, in cases that could change the way software is licensed abroad and alter the way patent cases are handled on appeal.

* Microsoft, AT&T case *

Topping the list is Microsoft Corp.’s case against AT&T Corp., in which the Court is expected to decide whether noninfringing code from so-called “Golden Master” disks be used abroad to make infringing products.
