CORRECTED: 130 US Reps Urge Action On Chinese Currency Flap

Law360, New York (March 15, 2010, 7:20 PM EDT) -- A bipartisan group of 130 legislators has penned a letter to U.S. financial officials urging them to immediately confront alleged currency manipulation by China as tension continues to escalate in one of the world's most crucial bilateral relationships.

In the letter sent Monday to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, members of the U.S. House of Representatives said the U.S. should apply countervailing duties to Chinese goods and should list China in a biannual government report on currency manipulation.
