Facts Back Lower Duties On Chinese Steel Pipe: US

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 12:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. government has responded to domestic steel pipe producers' criticism of its imposition of lower duties on a Chinese company's pipe imports, saying it used the correct methodology and has substantial evidence on its side.

The U.S. Department of Commerce's calculation of surrogate values was supported by substantial evidence in the record, the government said in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Wednesday.
