ITA Affirms Dumping Order On Taiwanese Plastic Bags

Law360, New York (March 22, 2010, 2:50 PM EDT) -- The International Trade Administration has finalized its preliminary finding that plastic bags from Taiwan are being dumped in the U.S., as well as increasing duty rates.

Producers and exporters from Taiwan have sold plastic bags in the U.S. at 36.54 percent to 95.81 percent less than fair value, the ITA said in a statement Friday. The figures are the agency's final determination in an anti-dumping duty investigation on imports of polyethylene retail carrier bags from Taiwan.
