State AGs Attack 'Unconstitutional' Health Care Bill

Law360, New York (March 23, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Thirteen state attorneys general have filed a suit asking a federal court to declare the health care reform legislation President Barack Obama signed Tuesday unconstitutional.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is a sweeping expansion of federal authority that runs afoul of the 10th Amendment and Article I of the Constitution, according to the suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
