Developer Says Seminole Buyout Of Hard Rock Rigged

Law360, New York (January 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The takeover of Hard Rock Café International USA by the Seminole Tribe of Florida has raised the ire of another would-be suitor, which filed a lawsuit on Friday alleging that the bid was rigged.

The Cordish Co., a Baltimore-based developer, and its affiliate Power Plant Entertainment LLC argued that seven months before London’s Rank Group Plc offered Hard Rock up for sale, it had already agreed to accept offers from leaders of the Seminole tribe’s gambling business.
