Chinese Oil Co. Says Ex-Worker Took Daimler Bribes

Law360, New York (March 26, 2010, 4:01 PM EDT) -- China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. has reportedly come forward to acknowledge that Daimler AG paid bribes to one of its former employees, the latest development in U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice investigations accusing the German automaker of paying millions of dollars in bribes to officials in at least 22 foreign countries to secure government contracts.
