DOJ Mostly Off Hook For Derivatives FOIA Requests

Law360, New York (March 26, 2010, 2:22 PM EDT) -- A judge has ruled in favor of the government on all but one point in a law firm's Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division that sought records related to requests for leniency under the division's investigation of the municipal derivatives industry.

Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday partially granted and partially denied the government's request for summary judgment on Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP's complaint.
