Squire Sanders, Allen & Overy Rep Avnet On Bell Deal

Law360, New York (March 29, 2010, 7:19 PM EDT) -- Electronic component distributor Avnet Inc. on Monday agreed to buy high-tech products distributor Bell Microproducts Inc. in a deal valued at $594 million.

The company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bell Microproducts in an all-cash merger for $7 per share.

That figure equates to an equity value of about $252 million and a transaction value of about $594 million, assuming a net debt position for Bell Microproducts of $342 million as of Dec. 31, 2009, the companies said.
