Ohio Investment Adviser Charged With Futures Scheme

Law360, New York (March 29, 2010, 7:27 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice charged the founder of Money Market Alternative LP on Monday with orchestrating a multimillion-dollar futures trading investment scheme that lost investors over $17 million.

The government lodged an information in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, charging Enrique F. Villalba Jr. with one count of wire fraud for allegedly running a scheme that bilked investors in California, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and Washington out of millions.
