Sandoz Antitrust Claims Nixed In Bayer's Yaz IP Suits

Law360, New York (March 29, 2010, 6:08 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed antitrust counterclaims filed by Sandoz Inc. in two Bayer Schera Pharma AG lawsuits accusing the generics maker of infringing patents for oral contraceptive drugs Yasmin and Yaz.

Judge Paul G. Gardephe of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Friday dismissed counterclaims of monopolization, conspiracy and unfair competition without prejudice, giving Princeton, N.J.-based Sandoz until April 8 to amend its claims.
