Class Approved In Wal-Mart Workers' Comp Spat

Law360, New York (March 30, 2010, 4:52 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Colorado has certified a class of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. employees in a suit that alleges the retail behemoth, its insurer and others conspired to manipulate the medical treatment received by workers injured on the job.

Judge Robert E. Blackburn approved the plaintiffs' motion for class certification Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and dismissed the defendants' motion to dismiss the plaintiffs' complaint.
