Bayer Keeps Some Expert Opinions Out Of Trasylol MDL

Law360, New York (March 30, 2010, 7:29 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted Bayer Corp.'s bid to exclude some of the testimony offered by one of the plaintiffs' expert witnesses in multidistrict litigation over Bayer's blood-clotting drug Trasylol, though he allowed some of the testimony to remain.

Luca Vricella, a medical expert for the plaintiffs, may not testify that Bayer should have included additional warnings on Trasylol's label, that it withheld information from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the medical community, or that it should have conducted studies on the drug's risks...
