BART, Continental Resolve $11M Coverage Dispute

Law360, New York (March 31, 2010, 12:37 PM EDT) -- San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District and Continental Casualty Co. have settled their dispute over about $11 million in coverage liabilities stemming from an electrical disaster that shut down routes on the transit service for several days in May 2008.

Judge Charles Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed the case Tuesday after the parties informed him of the pending deal.

Settlement details were not available in court records, but each party maintains the right to reopen the case...
