Andrx To Pay $6M To Settle Kos Trademark Suit

Law360 (June 10, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Andrx Corp. will pay Kos Pharmaceuticals $6 million and agree to stop using the Altocor trademark for any of its products under a settlement agreement between the two companies.

Kos said the payment and promise settle a trademark infringement lawsuit and should avoid further confusion between Andrx's cholesterol product, Altocor, and Kos' cholesterol product, Advicor.
