AVISMA Loses Challenge To Magnesium Dumping Margin

Law360, New York (March 31, 2010, 1:21 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce will not alter calculations yielding a 15.77 percent dumping margin against Russian metals giant PSC VSMPO-AVISMA Corp., upholding on remand its initial determination despite one expert's advice to the contrary.

Commerce said on Tuesday it was right to base calculations of certain of the company's joint products' net realizable value on individual pre-split-off points, rather than a common comingled split-off point for several products.
