Indonesia Wins 13-Year-Old Reinsurance Fraud Case

Law360, New York (March 31, 2010, 6:09 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed the dismissal of a claim that Indonesia's state-owned social security insurer failed to properly supervise employees in connection with an international commercial reinsurance fraud scheme.

A three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Monday upheld the lower court's ruling against Anglo-Iberia Underwriting Management Co., saying it had failed to state the last remaining claim in the 13-year-old case.
