Shell To Cough Up Over $9M In CAA Settlements

Law360, New York (April 1, 2010, 6:55 PM EDT) -- Royal Dutch Shell PLC has agreed to install roughly $6 million in pollution control equipment and pay a $3.3 million civil penalty as part of two Clean Air Act settlements with the U.S. government.

The settlements, announced Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Environmental Protection Agency, resolve cases in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
