Plaintiffs Pared In Denver Police Race, Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (April 6, 2010, 6:17 PM EDT) -- Denver municipal authorities have won the dismissal of four of 16 plaintiffs in a putative class action alleging the city's police department systematically discriminated against some officers because of their race and gender.

Judge Phillip Brimmer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado issued the ruling March 31. He also dismissed the Denver police department from the case, saying the city and county of Denver, which were also sued, are the proper defendants.
