USAA Doesn't Owe Chevron Lawyer Indemnity: 5th Circ.

Law360, New York (April 5, 2010, 6:47 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a lower court's finding that USAA Casualty Insurance Co. does not have to indemnify a former Chevron Corp. lawyer who was sued by the oil giant for breach of his employment contract.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said Friday attorney Michael Little had alleged insufficient factual content to allow the court to infer that USAA had breached its duty to defend or that the insurer should be estopped from denying coverage.
