Textbook Co. Hit With Suit Over School Kickbacks

Law360, New York (April 8, 2010, 3:28 PM EDT) -- A Michigan parent has lodged a class action against nationwide textbook provider MBS Direct LLC, claiming it offers illegal kickbacks to schools and universities that agree to make it their exclusive textbook provider while simultaneously charging more to students and parents.
