Starwood Wins €100M In French Hotel Deal Dispute

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 7:02 PM EDT) -- Two Starwood Capital Group affiliates have won €100 million ($134.5 million) in their lawsuit in a French court against JJW Hotels & Resorts over breach of contract claims stemming from a proposed sale of several luxury hotels, including Paris' famed Hotel de Crillon.

The Paris Commercial Court issued a judgment Thursday in favor of Starwood's Société du Louvre and Groupe du Louvre, the private investment group said in a statement.
