Live Nation Sues Mich. Venue For Breach

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 12:44 PM EDT) -- Live Nation Worldwide Inc. has gone after a Michigan concert venue operator for allegedly withholding funds owed to the heavyweight concert promoter for a series of concerts including performances by Alice Cooper, the Offspring and 311.

Hillside Productions Inc. is liable for breach of contract, conversion, fraud and unjust enrichment, according to the complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

The venue owner has wrongfully exercised dominion over, confiscated and converted Live Nation’s money to fund its own operations...
