Spain Probes Abertis Over TV Infrastracture Use

Law360, New York (April 9, 2010, 1:22 PM EDT) -- Spain's competition watchdog has opened a probe into allegations that Abertis Telecom SAU abused its dominant market position to keep other television providers from using its broadcasting network.

The country's National Competition Commission, or CNC, launched disciplinary proceedings against the company to find out whether Abertis illegally kept third parties from using its signal transport infrastructure, especially its ground network centers, the regulator said Friday.
