Ex-Platinum CEO Gets Nine Years

Law360, New York (January 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former Platinum Investment Corp. CEO Dominic Antonucci will spend nine years in jail for orchestrating two securities fraud schemes and attempting to destroy related evidence during a probe by the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission’s probe, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced on Monday.

Dominic Antonucci, one-time CEO of the now-defunct broker-dealer, pled guilty on May 19, 2005 to securities fraud, tampering with evidence and conspiring to commit securities fraud, wire fraud and mail fraud.
