FTC Seeks More Info On Monster-Yahoo Jobs Site Deal

Law360, New York (April 12, 2010, 2:38 PM EDT) -- Federal regulators have asked Monster Worldwide Inc. for more information about its plan to buy Yahoo Inc.'s HotJobs Web site, a sign that the government intends to scrutinize the plan to consolidate two key players in the online job hunt market.

The job search portal said Friday that it has received a so-called second request from the Federal Trade Commission as part of the regulatory process under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
