CA Governor Pushes To Cut Greenhouse Gases

Law360, New York (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Laying down the first-ever global warming pollution standard for motor vehicle fuels, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has called for a 10% cut of carbon content by 2020 that would put California at the forefront of combating greenhouse gases.

The governor’s effort is aimed at decreasing global warming and U.S. dependency on foreign oil, but the initiative could hike up consumer prices on food and fuel.
