Google Launches Patent Search

Law360 (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Internet search giant Google Inc. has launched a new Web site that it hopes will make patent information as easy to seek out and pinpoint as the hundreds of millions of Web pages it sifts through every day.

The site, Google Patent Search (www.google.com/patents), is currently in its “beta” or test version and was launched in mid-December. Although the company doesn’t have a date for the full release, it expects the site will soon make about 7 million U.S. patents more accessible than ever.
