Home Care Workers Sue NYC Agency For OT Wages

Law360, New York (April 14, 2010, 1:46 PM EDT) -- Employees of McMillan's Home Care Agency Inc. have brought a putative class action accusing the company of not paying overtime wages to domestic caregivers, one of the few low-wage professions still exempt from federal labor law protections, according to an attorney for the plaintiffs.

Despite working up to 60 hours each week, McMillan's employees never receive overtime compensation, according to the suit filed Wednesday in the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
