Former Lindquist Partner Admits Stealing From Clients

Law360, New York (April 14, 2010, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Michael S. Margulies, a former partner at Lindquist & Vennum PLLP's Minneapolis office, has “unconditionally admitted” that he misappropriated at least $1 million from the law firm and its clients.

Margulies, a real estate and construction partner at the firm from 1984 until his recent ousting, stole the money over the course of at least seven years, according to a petition for disciplinary action made public Tuesday in the Minnesota Supreme Court.
