Cargill Hit With Another Don, Doff Class Action

Law360, New York (April 14, 2010, 2:25 PM EDT) -- Workers at an Iowa Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. processing facility have filed a putative class action alleging the company fails to pay its employees for time spent performing tasks off the production line, including donning and doffing protective gear.

The plaintiffs lodged the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, claiming that Cargill's failure to compensate activities oerformed off the production line violates the Fair Labor Standards Act and Iowa state law.
