Class Decertified In XTO Energy Gas Royalty Case

Law360, New York (April 14, 2010, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Citing concerns about both the commitment of the named plaintiffs and the adequacy of their counsel, a federal judge has decertified a class of royalty interest owners who accused XTO Energy Inc. of giving them short shrift on natural gas royalties.

Judge Tim Leonard of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma signed off Tuesday on an order dismissing the claims of the class without prejudice.
