Drugstores Denied Injunction In Calif. Medicaid Suit

Law360, New York (April 16, 2010, 5:59 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that the National Association of Chain Drug Stores is not entitled to a preliminary injunction in a suit over the state of California's reduction of the Medicaid reimbursement paid to pharmacies for dispensing prescription drugs.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday that the injunction would not be in the public interest because it would require the state to recalibrate its Medicaid reimbursement formula.
