Class Cert. Granted In AT&T Mich. OT Suit

Law360, New York (April 19, 2010, 1:23 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted conditional class certification to employees of AT&T Corp.'s Michigan subsidiary who claim the company shorted them on overtime pay.

The workers, called “outside plant engineers” by AT&T, made an adequate case to justify a preliminary class certification, Judge Nancy G. Edmunds of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said in an order issued Friday. The order allows discovery to go forward and gives AT&T 10 days to give the plaintiffs a list of potential class members....
