SEC's Goldman Complaint Could Prompt Deluge Of Suits

Law360, New York (April 19, 2010, 5:13 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's suit accusing Goldman Sachs Group Inc. of cheating mortgage-backed securities investors is expected to prompt a wave of shareholder suits, and some attorneys even expressed surprise that none had been filed as of late Monday.

"There are more than a few lawyers in this world who throw things together just to be first,” said Matthew Gluck, a partner at Milberg LLP. “It's a little surprising."
