Firms Tackle Volcanic Ash-Related Travel Struggles

Law360, New York (April 19, 2010, 7:09 PM EDT) -- With many jet-setting attorneys temporarily grounded by Iceland’s volcanic ash cloud, law firms are finding themselves in logistical disaster mode, tracking down lawyers throughout the world, making the most of technological resources and refreshing plans for handling the unexpected.

A spokeswoman from Linklaters LLP counted that as many as 15 lawyers either based in New York and traveling elsewhere or who had traveled from abroad to New York were stranded as of Monday because of the European air service disruptions.
