Alaskan Seafood Processor Agrees To CAA Penalty

Law360, New York (April 20, 2010, 2:41 PM EDT) -- Westward Seafoods Inc. has agreed to pay $570,000 to settle allegations that it repeatedly violated emission limits, record-keeping requirements and reporting requirements at its seafood processing facility in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.

In addition to paying the civil penalty, Seattle-based Westward will implement measures to improve its compliance, according to a complaint and accompanying consent decree filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska.
