Apple Wins Bid To Transfer Monopoly Suit To Calif.

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 6:07 PM EDT) -- An appeals court has granted Apple Inc.'s request to transfer a monopoly case brought against it by Taiwanese MP3-player maker Luxpro Corp. to California, overturning a district court's ruling to keep the case in Arkansas.

A three-member panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Monday granted Apple's petition for writ of mandamus and directed the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas to transfer the case to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
