Consumer Group Urges DOJ To Trustbust Google

Law360, New York (April 21, 2010, 5:35 PM EDT) -- A consumer group has urged federal regulators to launch a broad antitrust action against Google Inc., arguing that breaking up the search engine giant into smaller companies could be warranted.

In a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday, the group Consumer Watchdog claimed Google's practices improperly curb competition in online search and advertising and asked the agency to examine possible remedies.
