Amazon Prevails In Trademark Suit Over Search Results

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 4:54 PM EDT) -- Amazon.com Inc. has won summary judgment in Video Professor Inc.'s trademark infringement suit alleging that the online retailer manipulated Google Inc. Internet search results for the phrase “video professor” to lead users to competing products.

Judge Robert E. Blackburn of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on Wednesday ruled that there are no genuine issues of material fact concerning the terms and scope of a trademark license in Amazon's vendor manual.
