Fla. Court Revives Investors' Suit Over RIM Patent Deal

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 2:27 PM EDT) -- A Florida appeals court has revived a contract suit brought by investors in Telefind Corp. seeking a share of a $612 million patent settlement over wireless e-mail technology that Research In Motion Inc. paid to a company founded by a former Telefind executive.

Florida's Third District Court of Appeal on Wednesday reversed an order from the Miami-Dade County Circuit Court dismissing the case for lack of personal jurisdiction.
