Ford To Initiate Recall Over Faulty Seat Recliners

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 2:36 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling more than 33,000 model year 2010 vehicles due to faulty front seat manual recliners that can increase the risk of injury during a crash, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall includes certain 2010 Ford Explorers, Explorer Sport Tracs and Fusions and Mercury Milans and Mountaineers manufactured between Dec. 15 and Feb. 3, the agency said.

The potential number of units affected is 33,256, the NHTSA said.
