St. Clair, Pantech Reach Accord In Camera IP Spat

Law360, New York (April 26, 2010, 5:40 PM EDT) -- Cell phone manufacturer Pantech Co. Ltd. has struck a settlement in an infringement suit brought by technology development and licensing company St. Clair Intellectual Property Consultants Inc. against several companies over patents covering digital camera technology.

The deal resolves South Korea-based Pantech's involvement in litigation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

St. Clair said Friday that Pantech had agreed to take a license for U.S. Patent Numbers 5,138,459; 5,576,757; 6,094,219; 6,233,010; 6,323,899; and 6,496,222, which cover technology used in cameras, camcorders and...
