WET Aims To Nix Amerigon Car Seat Patents

Law360, New York (April 27, 2010, 12:59 PM EDT) -- WET Automotive Systems Ltd. has stepped up the pressure against familiar foe Amerigon Inc., alleging anti-competitive practices and seeking to invalidate two patents covering temperature control functions for car seats.

The complaint, brought Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, introduces a new front in a patent war between WET and Amerigon, which are currently embroiled in a parallel suit alleging Amerigon has infringed eight patents covering car seat technology.
