Whirlpool, Steel Cos. Join Union Steel Dumping Suit

Law360, New York (April 27, 2010, 2:36 PM EDT) -- Whirlpool Corp., Nucor Corp. and U.S. Steel Corp. have won their bids to intervene in Union Steel Manufacturing Corp.'s suit challenging the dumping margin and cash deposit rate for its corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from South Korea.

Judge Timothy C. Stanceu of the U.S. Court of International Trade on Friday allowed Nucor and U.S. Steel to intervene in the action as defendants, while plaintiff-intervenor Whirlpool additionally prevailed in its request for a temporary restraining order.
