Tiffany Sues eBay For Trademark Infringement

Law360, New York (June 22, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tiffany & Co. has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against eBay, accusing the on-line auction site of facilitating the sale of fake Tiffany products that potentially harmed the famous New York jeweler's reputation.

In its complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Tiffany alleges that eBay contributed to trademark infringement by allowing counterfeiters to sell fake Tiffany rings, necklaces and bracelets.
