Ex-Exec Cops Guilty Plea For Concrete Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (April 27, 2010, 3:17 PM EDT) -- A former executive of an Iowa ready-mix concrete company has said he will admit his role in three price-fixing and bid-rigging conspiracies that lie at the heart of a larger antitrust investigation into the concrete industry.

Steven Keith VandeBrake agreed to plead guilty to three felony counts of violating the Sherman Act on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. He also agreed to a 19-month stint in jail and a $100,000 criminal fine.
