Black Attorneys Decry Ravelston Plea Deal

Law360 (January 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- If media tycoon Conrad Black has his way, media holding company Ravelston Corp. Ltd. will not be permitted to enter a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in the criminal case against the former executives of newspaper company Hollinger Inc.

Black’s attorneys went to court on Monday to argue against the plea bargain reached between Ravelston, the Black-owned holding company that is now controlled by court-appointed receiver RSM Richter, and U.S. regulators currently building the criminal fraud case against Black and his former associates.
