Another Suit Filed Over $11B Qwest-CenturyLink Deal

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 3:36 PM EDT) -- Qwest Communications International Inc. shareholders will get a raw deal if communications company CenturyTel Inc.'s proposed $10.6 billion acquisition of Qwest goes through, according to a putative class action challenging the recently announced tie-up, one of several pending suits over the deal.

The Teamsters Allied Benefit Funds, which identified itself as a Qwest stockholder, filed its complaint in the Denver County District Court on Friday.

CenturyTel started operating as CenturyLink when it completed its acquisition of Embarq Corp. in 2009, according to the company's website....
