Promoter Opposes DOJ's Ticketmaster-Live Nation Deal

Law360, New York (May 4, 2010, 3:48 PM EDT) -- A regional independent concert promoter has filed comments with the U.S. Department of Justice arguing that the agency's proposed remedies for Live Nation Worldwide Inc.’s merger with Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. fail to protect competition in the industry.

Jack Orbin, president of Stone City Attractions Inc., filed the comments Monday under the Tunney Act, which provides for a public comment period and federal court review of government decisions on mergers and acquisitions.
